Clinical Hypnotherapy & Hypnosis

Clinical Hypnotherapy is a powerful approach that can be used when talking doesn’t seem to be helping to alleviate what it is you’re struggling with.

Using the induction of the hypnotic trance state, a number of psychotherapeutic approaches can be used to work with your subconscious mind, so as to discover repressed emotions linked to past events, or to alter the cycle of behaviour to a more desired one.

Tom and Sandra have been teaching Hypnotherapy to students on their professional practitioner training program at Contemporary College of Therapeutic Studies for the last 20 years, so you can be sure that their knowledge and skill when using Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy is second to none.

First we will work out the best approach to use in relation to the outcome you want to achieve with therapy, and then guide you into the hypnotic trance state using a combination of physical and mental relaxation exercises.

Once that has been achieved we will then use methods such as ‘suggestion’, or affirmations, mental imagery, or regression. Whatever we do will be suited to what you want to achieve, and your personality.

The approach is an ongoing project, with us checking in on how the method worked, and then adapting to what is needed next. So, typically we can expect to see results from 1 session up to 4 or 5 sessions, depending on what we are working with.
