Clinical Supervision is a requirement of the vast majority of professional registering and accrediting organisations in the UK.
Both Tom and Sandra are qualified to provide you with supervision that will meet the requirements of both the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling and psychotherapy (BACP).
The primary theoretical approaches we offer in a supervisory role are Integrative, and Existential.
Having both trained to masters and doctorate level in various approaches we can also offer clinical supervision for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
We have been supervising both experienced practitioners and trainee counsellors and psychotherapists for many years. Our approach will focus on your client work in a number of ways. We will look at both the content of the therapeutic interventions and approaches you integrate into your work, and also the process of the therapy. The relationship between you and your client is explored, and in addition your personal relationship with the work and the profession, which plays a vital role in the clinical work you do.
Clinical supervision offers us a privileged way of returning to the profession what we have learnt from our own experience of having worked with many thousands of clients over the years. We hope we can help you enjoy the work and the profession as much as we have, and do.
